Hoosier Explorers Field Trip Fund Reaches New Heights

Thanks to the generosity of members and staff we collected over $2,289 in 2019 to help local fourth graders see more of Indiana with the Hoosier Explorers Field Trip Fund. That’s an 11% increase over the 2018 total, and it helped to pay the transportation costs of ten different field trips for students in Henry and Wayne counties. It’s also a perfect example of the “people helping people” philosophy that drives PCCU.

With your help we’d like to break that 2019 number in 2020. We’ve set a goal of $2,750 for the first year of the new decade. It’s ambitious, but we can achieve it by working together.

To help kick 2020 efforts off with a bang we’ll be giving you a chance to show how much you love local students and schools. In February every time you donate $1 or more you’ll get a heart you can decorate. You can use it to cheer on your hometown team, “Good Luck New Castle!”, or “Red Devils Rule!”; or thank a favorite teacher who had an impact on you or your child, “Thank You for Helping Me Dream Big Ms. Jones!”; or any other positive, school-related message! We’ll post them in our offices and show off the selflessness of  PCCU members and staff.

Show your “heart” with a donation today!

You can give to a specific school or donate to the general fund available to all our our local public schools. Don’t have a chance to make it into an office? Send us a secure message through PCCU All Ways Mobile or Online Banking about how much you’d like to donate, which account you’d like it to come from, and the message you’d like on your heart and we’ll take it care of it for you! It’s a great way to help local kids see more of Indiana and learn why it’s a great place to grow up!
