PCCU has had several reports of fraud from members, one of which involved a caller claiming to be part of PCCU’s Fraud Watch team. As a reminder, that no one at PCCU will ask you to initiate transactions, or to verify “trial transactions” to “test the system”. They will also never ask you for your whole Social Security Number over the phone.

If you ever receive a call claiming to be from PCCU and you’re unsure who you’re speaking to, please hang up and call us directly at 800-582-7228 during business hours, or to our after-hours number at 866-550-1680. Fraudsters can “spoof” our phone numbers and make Caller ID look like the call is coming from the credit union. But if you hang up and dial us directly you can be sure you’re speaking to one of us!
If you believe your account has been hit by fraud, please report it to us at your earliest opportunity! The sooner you make us aware of the problem the better the chances are of protecting your account, your money, and other members from further attacks and prevent losses to the whole membership. Thanks to the members who reported fraud we’ve been able to block some merchants and prevent losses for other members!
