COVID-19: January 2021 Update

As the days begin to grow longer and the new year dawns, we have reason for hope. Scientists have created vaccines at unprecedented speed to protect us from COVID-19. While we are still in the early stages of wide-spread vaccinations and they are being given to our heroes in the healthcare field and those most vulnerable, we can all begin to see the end of this pandemic. Much as PCCU weathered the Great Depression, the Second World War, and more recently the Financial Crisis of 2007 – 2008, we shall continue serving you, our members, through this emergency too.

We are taking this opportunity to renew our commitment to providing affordable financial services and financial literacy education to our communities. However, we will not miss this opportunity to step outside the normal rhythms and routines of our lives and re-evaluate “normal”. We will seize the chance to grow and improve, and PCCU is examining the lessons of the pandemic to find ways to better serve members. We are also working on new ways to bring financial literacy education to people where they are on their schedules.

We’ve been looking forward to the day when we can throw the doors of our offices open and welcome you all back in. With the blessings of science that day is closer than ever. As soon we’re able to put a date on it, we will announce it loudly and make it an event to celebrate. But for now, we’ll continue to serve you by drive-up, electronically, and in our offices by appointment for business that needs to be completed in person. We appreciate the fortitude and flexibility you’ve shown so far, and we thank you for sticking with us as better days grow closer.
