Financial Peace University

As you are well aware, much emphasis has been put on financial education for the communities we live in as we see more and more business cut-backs, closings, and bankruptcies at an all time high. The program we use to teach better financial habits and money management is a 13 week program called Financial Peace University

FPU is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace! Each of the 13 Lessons deals with a different topic that will change the way you think about personal finance.

Dave teaches about how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains, and experience the joy of giving.

This program is facilitated by pre-recorded dvd's of Dave Ramsey teaching to a live audience. An FPU kit is required to be purchased before classes start. We will work with you to make payments on a kit. Once a kit is purchased, you, your spouse and children are able to attend any FPU class as many times as you would like. It is a lifetime investment for $99.

We have had over 120 attend classes and have had 90 graduates of the program. Class members have paid off several thousand dollars in debt, saved money for emergencies to avoid going into debt, and closed and cut up credit cards for good! It's exciting, motivating and most of all LIFE CHANGING!

If you are ready for a change contact Kim for more information at 993-3069 or kwelch@pccu.com.

We also offer Dave Ramsey's Foundations class for teens. Learn more.

Teen Financial Education

PCCU offers Dave Ramsey's nationally syndicated "Foundations" which is the premier curriculum for teaching money management to high school and college students. PCCU's goal is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to make sound financial decisions for life.

The program engages students by weaving relevant subject matter into an enriching and entertaining format. We currently are able to offer this program in the school setting as well as youth clubs, church youth groups, and other organization groups.

In 2009 we will be facilitating the "Foundations" money management classes to teens in the Family and Consumer Science class at Hagerstown High school and in the Business Department at Lincoln High school. We are always looking for additional classrooms to provide the "Foundations" curriculum.

The program is FREE of charge and includes a workbook for each student, a dynamic learning environment with video lessons, and hands on activities. For more information about starting this program in your school or as an after school program please call Kim for more information.
